Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet Sauvignon

Dandelion Vineyards Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Stranger’s Reach Vineyard overlooking the Finniss River wetlands on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Though cooled by the Great Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina, the site receives low rainfall. Its deep alluvial soils and lack of irrigation mean that the Cabernet vines must struggle a little to survive.

Select bunches are handpicked and gently crushed into open fermenters. After two weeks, the wine is basket pressed to new and seasoned French oak barrels to mature for 18 months. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Dark purple, Dandelion Vineyards Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet Sauvignon has dark berry flavours, finely grained tannins and a dry finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
